The volume of horizontal tanks is generally less than 100m3. It is usually used for storage of raw materials in tank areas. Lap joint is used for ring weld and butt joint is used for longitudinal weld. The ring plates are arranged alternately, taking the singular number, so that the end covers have the same diameter. The end caps of horizontal tanks are divided into flat end caps and dished end caps. The flat end cap horizontal tank can withstand an internal pressure of 40kPa, and the dished end cap horizontal tank can withstand an internal pressure of 0.2Mpa. The underground horizontal storage tank must be equipped with a stiffening ring, which is simmered with angle steel.
